My fermented veggies are great source of healthful bacteria, enzymes and minerals. It is handmade in my certified kitchen by packing the organic vegetables in 20 litre crocks with a small amount of high mineral sea salt to ferment from 4-6 weeks. This product does not contain vinegar or dairy. Batches vary in taste and texture. For the most benefit, eat raw and drink the juice! Juice can be used in place of vinegar in salad dressings, which will give the dressing a nutritional boost.
This food is ALIVE! It will keep for months in the refrigerator. (at least 6 months from the time you open it) Take care when opening anything fermented. Hold over a bowl and catch juices/liquids that want to escape. Add your own hot sauces if you like your ferments hot. I do make them spicy sometimes but it is always marked.
Fermented foods are to be eaten as a condiment. I recommend that you start by eating 2-3 tablespoons at a time. Depending on your “gut health” you may feel a bit of bloating after eating these fermented foods. This means that you want to start slowly to avoid discomfort. If bloating does occur eat less until you don’t have that reaction, then step it up slowly. If bloating does occur it is a sure sign that you need to add ferments to your every day meals so that you can build up the good bacteria in your gut. Your immune system resides in the gut so eating these highly nutritious foods helps to build the good bacteria your body needs to protect you.*
